Any robot lawn mower involves a setup process, learning about its capabilities, making adjustments, and a gradual optimization process to get the most out of your robot lawn mower.

This lawn mower is priced similarly to an entry-level lawn mower, but it offers the freedom of never pushing and riding another lawn mower ever again.

Who is this product for?

McCulloch R1000 Robot Lawn Mower Review

The McCulloch ROB R1000 is great for people with gardens up to 1,000 square meters. It can handle slopes of up to 25%, so the lawn should not be too steep. With a guaranteed sound level of 59 dB, it is so quiet that it can be used 24/7 - it's especially great if you're living in a densely populated area and don't want to bother your neighbors too much.

McCulloch R1000 performance

What we found positive in the McCulloch ROB R1000 test was a good performance. Innovative technologies alongside powerful and reliable engines are the heart of every McCulloch device. It not only fights well through tangles in the garden, it also overcomes steeps of up to 25%. This is not a peak value, but it is quite sufficient considering the price.

The McCulloch ROB R1000 is programmable so it is also suitable for every garden. Just tell ROB what times to mow your lawn, and it will mow your lawn while you spend your time doing the things you love to do. All it needs is an occasional rest period at the charging station. It will automatically return to its station when it's about to run out of battery juice. Programming is done on the top panel using the 15 buttons and the LCD display.

McCulloch rob r1000 vs Husqvarna

As someone who used both McCulloch and the entire Husqvarna Automower series, I can say that both brands are great and serve different types of markets. While McCulloch Rob R1000 is great for mowing small gardens, Husqvarna can handle heavy-duty commercial tasks as well with many superior features compared to McCulloch. R1000 for example works on inclines up to 25%, while the Husqvarna robot mower can work on slopes up to 45% incline.

What oil for McCulloch lawn mower?

Since it's not a gas mower McCulloch Rob R1000 doesn't require and oil or gas fills. The only maintenance it requires is occasional blade checks and grass clippings clean up. Other than that, robot mowers are pretty much maintenance-free.

Cons and pros of McCulloch r1000

The R 1000 has many positive features to highlight. It has a built-in alarm, pin code security, installation lock, time lock, and mandatory lift and tilt sensors. A noteworthy feature is that the ROB R1000 also works in the rain, which is very interesting considering using other electric or even gas lawnmowers is not advised under the rain.

It drives around your lawn fully automatically. By design, this robot lawn mower cuts your grass very short, which means you need to mow more frequently, or the device will get stuck on long grass. This can also happen when the grass is wet.

The cutting width of 7 inches is a bit poor, which means the small robot has to work for many hours to keep the grass in your garden under control. Continuous use of the McCulloch R1000 is, therefore, practically mandatory to achieve good results in the long run. This is important to keep in mind. Please don't expect to run this robot lawn mower once every two weeks and keep your grass short.

Inside the box, you're going to receive a charging station, the robot mower itself, 400x pegs, 656 feet boundary wire, and finally 3x metal cutting blades when you need to replace it.

The extra stuff you get in the box is more than enough for areas of 1,000 square meters and is sufficient for half or three-quarters of the boundaries to be set.
